Tim Armstrong, professor at Royal Holloway, University of London, is author of Modernism Technology and the Body (1998) and The Logic of Slavery: Debt, Technology and Pain in American Literature, a Choice outstanding academic title in 2013. He co-edits Edinburgh Critical Studies in Modernist Culture, and co-organizes the London Modernism Seminar.
