Debra Rae Cohen is Distinguished Professor of English Emerita at the University of South Carolina, former editor of the journal Modernism/modernity, and current president of the Council of Editors of Learned Journals. She is the author of Remapping the Home Front: Locating Citizenship in British Women’s Great War Fiction (2002), and coeditor of Broadcasting Modernism (2009) and Teaching Representations of the First World War (2017). Her current work centers on the influence of radio on interwar print culture, and on the forms of political engagement in the works of women writers.
