George Hutchinson (Cornell University) is the author of In Search of Nella Larsen and The Harlem Renaissance in Black and White. With John K. Young, he co-edited Publishing Blackness: Textual Construction of Race Since 1850, an attempt to bring African American literary studies and textual scholarship into conversation. He also edited Anita Reynolds’s Jazz-Age memoir, American Cocktail: A Colored Girl in the World.
